In May ’19 the Captain Fanplastic crew facilitated the programme to 33 learners at St. Paul’s Primary School in Bo Kaap. The area is a renowned tourist attraction yet the streets are littered wit h all types of plastic, paper, bottles and cans. The goal was to inspire the children to change their behaviour towards littering and learn about the value of plastic when recycled.  

After listening to the story we headed off on a ‘treasure’ hunt around the school. The learners collected 12.5kg of waste and proved themselves worthy to become little pirates in Captain Fanplastic’s Crew
