In March '19 and June '19, the Captain Fanplastic crew facilitated three programmes to three classes and a total of 96 learners at Intshinga Primary School in Gugulethu. The aim was to inspire the chi ldren to change their behaviour towards plastic and educate them as to what they can do to keep their neighbourhood clean.

After listening to the story and learning about the impact of plastic pollution and the value of plastic when recycled, we headed off to Mnandi Beach for a beach clean up. Over two days of clean ups, each lasting just under an hour, a total of 39.1kg of ‘treasure’ was collected and the learners proved themselves worthy to become little pirates in  Captain Fanplastic’s Crew More...
